On June 16, deputies under Constable Mark Herman performed a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 7700 block of FM 1960 Road East. The driver was identified as Heaven Leigh Platt, who is 31 years old.

During the inquiry, officers determined that the vehicle was the same one reported stolen from Foreman’s estate.

Platt was also determined to have an outstanding felony warrant for burglary in Brazoria County. According to jail records, the offense is burglary of a coin-operated machine.

Her current bond is $10,000; however, the charges for the stolen Foreman vehicle were not added at the time of this story.

Additional Charges Pending

“Heaven Leigh Platt was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on an active warrant,” Constable Mark Herman said in a statement. “Additional charges related to the stolen vehicle are forthcoming as the investigation continues.”

According to Harris County Constable Pct. 4, deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of Martelly Way in northeast Harris County after receiving a report of missing technical equipment and a Mercedes SUV.

The license plate of the missing SUV was placed into an LPR database, and the vehicle was found on June 16.

According to deputies, charges for unlawful use of a motor vehicle were dropped because she was in possession of the keys.

Detectives are still looking into the burglary and car use.
