Perhaps the seventh time is the charm in convincing one Wisconsin guy to stop driving while inebriated. How did this man manage to maintain his car ownership after six arrests? He stole his friend’s pickup truck.

Wisconsin man gets 7th DWI in stolen truck

Police officers with the Caledonia Police Department in Wisconsin responded to reports of a stolen pickup truck at 11:50 p.m. The truck was stolen in the 4500 block of Stonebridge Drive.

The owner reported that a known acquaintance stole his pickup between 9:30 and 10 p.m., and he planned to file charges. This suggests that he no longer wants to be buddies with the intoxicated thief.

Anyway, according to Yahoo, police officers saw the vehicle driving north on Douglass Avenue. They conducted a traffic stop, and the driver cooperated. Things would have been far worse if he had chosen to flee.

The individual then showed apparent signs of intoxication and refused conventional field sobriety testing. He was accused of taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s permission, driving while intoxicated for the seventh time, and operating after revocation.

The man was intoxicated, but it is unknown what his blood alcohol level was. However, I’m wondering if he had a license. The other incidents, though, might have taken place in different states.

A fourth violation in Wisconsin is deemed a felony, and driving privileges are revoked for life. Additionally, you may face haul time, fines, and other penalties.

How did the man ever get out of jail, and why did his friend trust him with his truck? How is the drunk driver’s attorney doing? I suppose the lawyer is doing well because he receives repeat business.
