Two daycare workers in Conway are facing charges in connection with a child assault investigation.

According to arrest warrants, Kabria Hasty is charged with criminal conduct toward a child, while Tanyell Wellington is charged with failure to report child abuse or neglect.

The allegations come from an alleged attack on a kid at Your Neighborhood Childcare on Creel Street on Monday, where Hasty and Wellington both worked, according to the warrants.

The warrants allege that Hasty struck a youngster, forcing him to tumble from an “elevated location,” damaging his face and head.

Wellington’s arrest paperwork claims that she witnessed the alleged attack but failed to report it.

According to a police report, Conway police responded to the daycare on Tuesday, gathering statements and photos of the boy and his injuries.

According to jail records, CPD lodged Hasty into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Tuesday under a $10,000 bond. She is still there as I write this.

Wellington’s booking photo has not yet been released.
