The students at this school had taken the initiative to advocate for free tampons in the bathroom. However, their request was denied by the male principal, who claimed that they would “abuse the privilege.” This incident highlights the importance of addressing menstrual health needs and ensuring equal access to menstrual products for all individuals.
Undeterred, the students organized a unique form of protest by baking cookies in the shape of tampons to convey their message. The cookies, skillfully crafted, were not only visually striking but also served as a powerful symbol of their cause.
