OCPD: Person discovered dead in Newalla’s ditch on fire inside a car

In a tragic incident, the Oklahoma City Police Department has confirmed the death of an individual who was found in a vehicle engulfed in flames in a ditch in Newalla during the early hours of Sunday morning.

A distressed call was made to the police regarding a vehicle that was completely engulfed in flames at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. The incident occurred near Southeast 59th Street and Harrah Road. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a person inside the vehicle who tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

According to officials, it is believed that the vehicle had been in an accident before ending up in the ditch. They also stated that there is no evidence suggesting any foul play related to the individual’s death.

No further information regarding the incident has been disclosed.
