A fatality occurred on Monday morning when federal agents executed a search warrant in Kansas City’s Northland, according to KCTV.

Agents from the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 3000 block of NW 73rd Street.

According to the FBI, law enforcement officers announced their arrival and knocked on the door, but they did not get a response.

After entering the residence, the agents came face to face with an armed individual. Unfortunately, the individual was injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the FBI, their agents were engaged in a shooting incident. However, the bureau did not disclose any details regarding the outcome of the shooting or whether it resulted in the death of the individual at the residence.

The FBI’s Inspection Division is currently reviewing the incident, as stated in their official statement.
