Two years after Maurice White’s tragic death in Houston’s Third Ward, authorities are once again asking for help in solving the case.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) and Crime Stoppers of Houston are holding a press conference to encourage the public to provide information regarding the 2022 murder.
What happened? On May 20, 2022, at around 10:50 a.m., 29-year-old Maurice White was fatally shot in the 3400 block of Tuam Street, located in Houston’s Third Ward.
HPD reports that two suspects got out of a white Ford F-250 Crew Cab and fired multiple shots at White, who was sitting in his vehicle.
White tragically died at the scene from his injuries.
The suspects quickly fled the scene in the white truck. Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the shooting.
