On Tuesday, Rep. Andy Ogles, who is a Republican from Tennessee, took to social media to reveal that his phone had been seized by the FBI the week before. This happened just a day after he emerged victorious in a Republican primary in Tennessee.

On X, Representative Ogles, who is a member of the House Freedom Caucus, released a statement regarding an investigation that reportedly concerns his campaign finance filings. Fox News sources have confirmed that FBI agents conducted a search at his D.C. office last week under a search warrant.

In a recent statement, the Tennessee politician acknowledged the widely reported mistakes made by his campaign in the initial financial filings. He confirmed that his team has been working tirelessly with attorneys and reporting experts to rectify these errors and ensure compliance moving forward.

“My cell phone was taken into custody by the FBI last Friday.”

According to Ogles, he is of the opinion that the seizure of his phone is linked to the campaign filings. He also pledged to work together with the authorities.

The Republican stated that he believes the investigators are looking into the well-known facts related to the filings. He also added that he will cooperate with them completely, just like he did with the Federal Election Commission.

“I firmly believe that everyone involved will come to the conclusion that the discrepancies in reporting were a result of genuine errors, and nothing beyond that.”

As requested, here is a timeline of the assassination attempt on the former US President Donald Trump.

Following a meeting of the House Republican Conference at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., spoke with reporters. Getty Images captured the moment.

Ogles emerged victorious in a closely-watched primary election last Thursday, defeating Nashville Metro Council member Courtney Johnston. Notably, the former President Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La, were among his supporters.

In May, Trump took to Truth Social to express his support for Andy’s efforts to boost the economy, curb inflation, safeguard the southern border, uphold the rule of law, and protect the Second Amendment. According to Trump, he was honored to have helped Andy in flipping a Democrat seat in 2022, and he is now extending his full and unequivocal endorsement for Andy’s re-election campaign, assuring voters that he is someone they can count on.

On Friday, December 2nd, 2022, Rep. Andy Ogles, a Republican from Tennessee, had the honor of holding the number one pick coin during the biennial office lottery on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. A photo captured the moment where Rep. Ogles proudly held the coin, showcasing his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity.
