The Metropolitan Police Department is currently seeking help from the public to identify three people involved in a retail theft in Northwest Washington. According to a police complaint, the incident occurred on July 24 inside a shop in the 3100 block of 14th Street Northwest. Police charge the defendants with stealing items, suspecting one of them of assaulting a girl during their escape. The culprits then fled the site.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department’s announcement, the theft occurred around 10:00 a.m. on the reported date. As the perpetrators left the business, they assaulted the female victim, who has denied medical care. The police want anyone with information about these people. Furthermore, the MPD has published surveillance photographs to help identify the culprits.

The theft and attack are still under investigation, and the MPD has not provided any specific information on the stolen merchandise’s value or nature. The officials are currently reviewing camera footage and other information that could help them apprehend the culprits quickly.

Members of the community with information on the suspects or the crime are encouraged to contact the police. The MPD provides several ways for the public to send tips, including by phone and via their website. Those sharing information may choose to remain anonymous. The MPD emphasizes that any piece of information, no matter how seemingly trivial, has the potential to greatly enhance their investigation.
