According to authorities, the man who was a father of three and shot his brother before taking his own life in their Queens home had reached his breaking point after enduring ridicule from his family over his financial struggles and the failure of his grocery store.

According to officials, 33-year-old Karamjit Multani left a lengthy and detailed text message, which they referred to as a “manifesto,” addressing the ongoing family tension before he tragically shot his 27-year-old brother Vipanpal Multani nine times in a murder-suicide on Saturday night.

Joseph Kenny, the Chief of Detectives for NYPD, revealed that Karamjit Multani had sent a message to his wife before the shooting took place. In the message, Multani described the “abuse” he had endured allegedly from his family.

On Tuesday, Kenny explained that there were indications that the father made his son a sheikh, which is a religious title. Normally, the only person who can confer this title is the eldest male in the family, which in this case would have been the father.

“They were constantly arguing about their financial issues, the preferential treatment his brother received due to his success, and even bickering about this particular matter.”

According to Kenny, the situation turned fatal when the head of the family gave his two sons money and property to start their own businesses.

In Valley Stream, Vipanpal Multani ventured into the deli business and achieved great success. Meanwhile, his brother, who had a history of violence, tried to open a grocery store in Indiana. However, the venture ended up being a complete failure and resulted in bankruptcy.

Kenny revealed that there has been a significant amount of tension between the individual and their brother due to snide remarks regarding their perceived lack of success. Additionally, the individual’s father has been adding to the pressure by expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of success of the store located in Indiana.

On the eve of the tragic shooting, the father made it clear to his son that he needed to leave the house. This prompted Karamjit Multani to send his wife and three children back to Indiana on a plane.

During Saturday’s dinner, an argument erupted within the family, causing them to disperse in different directions. Soon after, gunshots reverberated throughout the South Richmond Hill neighborhood.

A tragic incident took place in New York City where a father of three shot and killed his own brother, injured his mother, and ultimately took his own life in a shocking murder-suicide.

After escaping from the house, Karamjit Multani ran down the street before ultimately taking his own life.

According to the police, the shooting was a result of ongoing animosity. However, a close friend of the family named Mandeep stated to The Post that the murder-suicide was completely unexpected and came as a shock.

As the Rolls Royce SUV pulled up, family and friends were welcomed into the house, coming and going throughout the day.

The family’s neighbors were equally shocked by the news, and they described the family as “extremely quiet.”

Zah, who prefers to go by her first name, expressed her disbelief regarding the two brothers, stating, “That’s why we can’t believe [it]. They looked nice.”

Gina Fernandez, a 35-year-old neighbor, had often observed Karamjit playing outside with his three children. She had noticed that the two siblings shared a close bond.

According to her, the brothers were always seen together and she had never heard them fighting. She spoke highly of them, mentioning that they were great brothers who loved to hang out together. In her opinion, they were all nice people.

In an interview with CBS 2, the father of the victim expressed uncertainty about what triggered the shooting. The grieving father had shared his thoughts on the tragic incident.

When questioned about any issues between the two brothers, he stated, “Not big problems. Sometimes, there may be small disagreements, but nothing major.”
