The Colbert County Sheriff’s Department in Alabama is looking for help identifying a suspect in a recent bank fraud case. Investigators believe the person may have traveled to Mississippi following the event.
The suspect entered Bank Independent in Cherokee, Alabama, around 4:30 p.m. on February 10, 2025. Using counterfeit identification documents, the suspect pretended to be someone else and took a huge sum of money from the victim’s account. After leaving the bank, the suspect appeared to be heading toward Mississippi, maybe as a passenger in the vehicle seen on security video.
