The Lancaster County District Attorney’s office accuses a Strasburg man of repeatedly raping and sexually assaulting a juvenile girl over the course of almost a decade.

Brent Matthew Groff, 25, is accused of initiating the assault on the girl when she was approximately 8 years old, while he was 16 years old. The incidents took place at a residence in the 100 block of Charleston Drive, and the assaults allegedly persisted at different locations from around 2015 until October 2023.

The victim, who is now 17 years old, shared with investigators that Groff had raped and sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions throughout the years. At first, when confronted with the allegations, Groff denied them. However, he later reached out to the police and acknowledged that many of the claims made against him were indeed true, as confirmed by authorities.

Groff is currently facing a total of 15 charges that include serious offenses such as felony rape of a child, felony incest of a minor, felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, and felony indecent assault of a person under the age of 13.

The District Attorney stated that he is currently being held at Lancaster County Prison on a bail amount of $300,000.
