A cold front has moved through the Gulf Coast, bringing a brief break in the rain before more showers arrive early Friday. Expect light to moderate rainfall between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m., with coastal areas seeing up to a quarter-inch of rain. Skies will clear by Friday afternoon, but temperatures will remain cool, reaching the 50s inland and near 60 at the beaches.

Stronger cold air moves in Friday night, dropping temperatures to the upper 30s inland and mid-40s along the coast. A Freeze Watch is in place for areas north of I-10, with lows near freezing expected Saturday morning.

Temperatures will fluctuate over the weekend, staying below normal. Another cold front on Sunday night will further reinforce the chill, keeping highs in the low 50s to 60s.
