A Houston woman, Hana Ahmad Alolaimi, 35, and her husband, Omar Mahmoud Bishtawi, 48, are facing charges of aggravated assault and kidnapping in a violent plot targeting a man she allegedly had an affair with. The couple was arrested in October 2024, and Alolaimi is set to appear in court for an arraignment hearing.

Investigators revealed that the victim, a 36-year-old DoorDash delivery driver, willingly entered Alolaimi’s car, unaware that her husband was hiding in the backseat under a curtain. Bishtawi allegedly ambushed the victim, putting him in a chokehold and pressing a firearm to his head. When the victim tried to escape, Bishtawi reportedly shot him twice, injuring his thigh and foot.

The victim, who asked to remain anonymous due to safety concerns, stated that he had ended the affair with Alolaimi three months earlier because the relationship had turned toxic.

However, Alolaimi continued to pursue him, even showing up uninvited at his new apartment. On the day of the incident, she allegedly lured him into her car while he was working as a delivery driver. The victim said Bishtawi told him he had to die because he had dishonored Alolaimi.

Despite his injuries, the victim managed to escape and call for help. Following the attack, the couple fled but later surrendered to Houston police, providing conflicting accounts of what happened. The case has drawn significant attention as new details are expected to emerge during the court proceedings.
