Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne reported that a 23-year-old Dayton woman, Sheila Virginia Martinez, was arrested yesterday in connection with a Harris County homicide.
On Monday, May 19, 2025, at around 3:00 p.m., Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) deputies helped the Houston Police Department’s Crime Suppression Teams locate and detain Martinez. She was apprehended without incident during a traffic stop on FM 565, just north of Interstate 10.
Martinez was then released to the Houston Police Department and put into Harris County Jail, where her bond was set at $500,000. Her court appearance is planned for July 1st.
