The Houston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying individuals connected to a shoplifting incident that turned into a robbery. This incident took place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m. at a sports store located on the 2400 block of Southwest Freeway.

In a recent press release, the department reported that four individuals, three males and one female, entered the store and proceeded to gather a considerable quantity of clothing before leaving without making any payment. A vigilant store employee, who observed the incident unfold, decided to tail the suspects. However, one of the suspects reportedly brandished a can of pepper spray and aimed it at the employee before making a hasty escape from the scene.

The individuals involved in the incident are identified as follows: Suspect #1 is a Black male who is dressed in a black shirt, black pants, and red shoes; Suspect #2 is a Black male who is wearing a white baseball shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes; Suspect #3 is a Black male who is sporting an orange pullover, black shorts, and white sandals; and Suspect #4 is a Black female who is clad in a black shirt, orange shorts, and black and white shoes.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is providing a generous cash reward of up to $5,000 for any valuable information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects. To ensure complete anonymity, individuals with tips are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers directly. This can be done by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477) or by submitting an online tip through their website.
