A 22-year-old man named Zachri Frazer from Kingston, Jamaica, was apprehended in Florida on Monday, February 3, 2025, in relation to the homicide of 33-year-old Donald Neece from Mobile. After the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) issued a warrant for his arrest, the suspect was officially charged with murder.

The investigation into Neece’s death started on January 29, 2025, when Troopers from ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division discovered his body near Spanish Fort in Baldwin County. Special Agents initiated a homicide investigation and determined that Frazer had been residing in Mobile at the time. The evidence pointed towards Frazer as the culprit, revealing that he had taken Neece’s vehicle following the murder and escaped to Florida.

Law enforcement officials issued a bulletin for the suspect and the vehicle, prompting deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida to take action on February 3, 2025. Upon spotting the vehicle, Frazer tried to escape, resulting in a short pursuit before he was captured. The authorities successfully recovered the vehicle, and Frazer was subsequently arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail. Currently, he is awaiting extradition to Alabama to face charges for the murder.

ALEA expressed gratitude to multiple agencies for their invaluable support in the investigation. These agencies include the Mobile Police Department, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Unit, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Walton County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is still ongoing.
