A New Jersey teen was arrested last week in Lancaster County for his alleged involvement in a shooting outside of the state in Elizabeth City, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Jaylen A. McCray, 18, of Union, NJ, reportedly fired a handgun toward a group of people after a fight inside a liquor store in the 200 block of Morris Avenue on May 9.

One of the shots reportedly hit a man in the leg.

According to officials, the entire incident was captured on surveillance video in the vicinity.

According to the district attorney’s office, McCray was arrested a few days later on May 14 in Lancaster City’s 300 block of South Ann Street.

According to reports, several roadways in the neighborhood were closed for 45 minutes.

McCray has been charged with aggravated assault and two firearms violations.

He is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison and is awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
