In Bonneville County, Idaho, the Bonneville County Sheriff Deputies are currently investigating a tragic overnight crash that led to one fatality and four individuals being hospitalized. The incident took place around 11:30 pm, prompting the prompt response of Deputies and Idaho Falls Fire Personnel to the crash site, located just north of 17th S. on 45th W. in Bonneville County. Upon their arrival, emergency personnel discovered multiple victims from two vehicles, with one of them having overturned.

Three adult men, including the driver and two passengers, were taken to the hospital with severe, but not life-threatening injuries after a collision involving a 2016 GMC Sierra. Similarly, the 17-year-old male driver of a 2003 Nissan car, along with a male passenger identified as Joshua Lindula, 18, from Idaho Falls, were also transported to the hospital due to their severe, but non-life-threatening injuries. Tragically, Lindula was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The deputies concluded that the GMC Pickup was heading northbound on 45th W. and was trying to make a left turn into a driveway just north of 17th S. However, the GMC failed to give way to a Nissan car traveling southbound, resulting in a collision on the passenger side of the GMC. As a result of the impact, the GMC overturned and came to a stop in a nearby field, while the Nissan came to a halt on the road, just past the driveway.

Authorities suspect that alcohol might have played a role in the crash and are currently conducting an ongoing investigation. Unfortunately, no additional details are available at this moment.
