A 35-year-old special needs educator from Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with over sixty felony offenses, including institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, and illegal distribution of controlled substances.

Authorities believe that the educator, Michelle, had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old male student and provided him with illegal drugs, including medical marijuana. The incidents are thought to have happened several times since February of this year, with the majority apparently taking place at the house of one of the educator’s family members.

According to the criminal complaint, the educator reportedly purchased marijuana for the kid about fifteen times and spoke with him using a messaging app to plan meetings and exchanges. The investigation began after the victim’s family called police. Authorities examined the teen’s cell phone and gathered supporting evidence, which led to formal charges.

Michelle, who has worked for the school district since 2014 in a variety of positions, including paraprofessional and educator, has been placed on administrative leave. The investigation restricts her access to all school grounds. District officials noted that they are completely cooperating with law authorities and remain dedicated to providing a safe learning environment.

Superintendent Richard Gusick acknowledged that there is currently no proof of involvement by other kids. Meanwhile, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office has announced that they will seek large bail after the defendant has been medically cleared, citing an ongoing health concern.

District Attorney Christopher underlined the gravity of the situation, saying, “This conduct constitutes a grave violation of the trust placed in educators.” “We will seek justice to the fullest extent of the law.”
