State police reported that an altercation over an eviction notice led to the shooting and death of a Pennsylvania man over the weekend.
State Police in Emporium responded to a reported shooting on Trailer Court Drive north of Emporium in Cameron County around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, January 4.
When troopers arrived on the scene, they found Thomas Krivonyak, 63, dead from a gunshot wound that occurred during a struggle over an eviction notice.
According to the police report, Krivonyak had someone in a chokehold before the suspect discharged a firearm, striking him.
