Sugar Land police are searching for two suspects involved in an armored truck robbery outside the H-E-B on Highway 6 at University Boulevard.

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Authorities are actively looking for two individuals after money was stolen from an armored truck, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly after noon on Tuesday at the H-E-B located at the intersection of University Boulevard and Highway 6. Police confirmed that the store remained open throughout the event.

Investigators reported that the thief took money from the truck and fled the scene. An armored truck guard fired at least two shots at the suspect’s vehicle, striking it. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the exact amount of money stolen remains unclear.

While police located the suspect’s vehicle, the individuals responsible have yet to be apprehended. Law enforcement used K-9s, drones, and a helicopter in their search for the suspects.

On Wednesday, Sugar Land PD released surveillance footage showing one of the suspects. The video shows a person, possibly an armored truck employee, exiting the store with a bag in hand. A person closely following him, described as one of the suspects, is seen walking quickly behind. This individual was dressed in a black jacket with a hood, black pants, black socks, and sandals.
