Another suspect has been apprehended for trying to smuggle contraband into Grant Parish’s Federal Prison.
The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office said that Brenda Vega, 36, of Nueces, Texas, was attempting to smuggle cocaine, marijuana, and THC vapes into the Federal Prison.
Vegawas was arrested for possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, and bringing contraband into a correctional facility.
This comes after a Mississippi man was nabbed last week for attempting to smuggle $400,000 worth of tobacco, five cartons of vapes, 15 vials of steroids, and hundreds of dollars in food into prison.
