HOUSTON, Texas – A woman was shot and killed while working inside a southwest Houston liquor store, prompting an intense investigation by the Houston Police Department. The incident occurred at the Ralston Discount Liquor store, located on South Post Oak Road, around 12:45 p.m.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was discovered by a fellow employee, having been shot multiple times. Authorities are still working to piece together the details surrounding the shooting. Houston police have stated that they are reviewing surveillance footage and other evidence to track down the person responsible for this tragic crime.

“Any act of violence like this is always an atrocity, and it’s a very sad day for the victim’s family, friends, and the community,” said HPD Officer Robyn Barcak.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as investigators continue their work while the community is still in shock over the loss. The search for the shooter is ongoing, and the police are determined to bring justice to the victim’s loved ones.
