Following his triumph over ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos, President-elect Donald Trump has received suggestions from his supporters to pursue legal action against billionaire Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who served eight years in prison for public corruption charges and had his sentence commuted by President Trump, took to Twitter to question when Trump would sue Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker for repeatedly calling him a ‘rapist.’ Blagojevich pointed out that Trump recently won a defamation case against ABC for the same accusation and wondered if he would take similar action against Pritzker.

Hundreds of retweets came pouring in, urging Trump to take action, after Blagojevich’s tweet was swiftly embraced by the MAGA echo chamber.

One supporter of Trump suggested that he should take legal action against those who publicly defamed him. They also mentioned that the money from the lawsuits could be donated to various worthy causes.

One commenter also mentioned, “Pritzker should be investigated too, as he is a crook! He should face legal action for deceiving the American public.”

Even Roger Stone, a former close associate of Trump and a convicted felon, shared the story on his social media.

While campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in June, Pritzker referred to Trump as an “adjudicated rapist” and a “congenital liar.”

According to Pritzker, he describes him as a racist, sexist, misogynistic narcissist who aims to use his power for personal gain and to retaliate against those who criticize him. Pritzker’s ad hominem attacks are more challenging to contest because political free speech protections do not apply to Stephanopoulos.

Pritzker’s immense wealth, estimated at $3.7 billion from his family’s Hyatt hotel chains, according to Forbes, would make him a formidable opponent to challenge in court.

In 2019, he assumed office after defeating the incumbent Republican, Bruce Rauner.
