Authorities in Lycoming County are currently investigating a local gang suspected of engaging in theft and forgery activities.
The Pennsylvania State Police, along with the Muncy, South Williamsport, and Corning Police Departments, are currently investigating a series of incidents that are suspected to be connected to the notorious “Felony Lane Gang.”
According to the police, the suspect in the picture has been engaging in fraudulent activities by cashing checks and using stolen identification and checkbooks in various locations in Pennsylvania and Corning, New York.
According to reports, the stolen ID cards and checkbooks were acquired through a “smash and grab” incident in Lycoming County.
“This type of incident is in line with the Modus Operandi of the Felony Lane Gang, who break into vehicles, steal checkbooks and identifying information, and then hire individuals to forge checks and make withdrawals at multiple branches of the associated bank on the victim’s checks,” said police in a release.
The police have reported that the individual involved in this case has utilized two different vehicles: a White Acura RDX and a Gray Mitsubishi Outlander. Both of these vehicles appear to have Pennsylvania inspection and emissions stickers. Interestingly, the suspect has replaced the license plate with a vanity plate that reads “HOONIGAN T1RESLYR”.
