The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently reported the capture of German Ronal Del Cid Carranza, a 33-year-old Salvadoran national, on charges of possessing a loaded handgun. Del Cid, who was apprehended in Silver Spring on February 4, is confirmed to be a member of the notorious MS-13 gang, as stated by ICE.
According to the news release, Del Cid entered the United States lawfully in Washington, D.C. on December 11, 2010. However, he later violated the terms of his lawful admission. On September 8, 2022, Del Cid was arrested by the Prince George’s County Police Department for possession of a loaded handgun.
Del Cid was found guilty of possessing a loaded handgun by the Circuit Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County on March 18, 2023. As a result, he received a two-year prison sentence. Currently, Del Cid is still in the custody of ICE.
