On April 4, 2025, U.S. Attorney Sean Costello of the Southern District of Alabama announced that Randy Pressley, a 45-year-old Alabama resident, had been sentenced to 60 months in federal prison for his role in a scheme involving six counts of wire fraud and two counts of interstate transportation of stolen goods.

According to court documents, Pressley used many people’s stolen identities to open fraudulent customer accounts with various food delivery companies. After placing massive food orders, he would have them delivered and resold in Mississippi. When the invoices were due, the victims with stolen identities would contest the charges, leading to significant financial losses for the involved corporations.

The fraudulent enterprise resulted in losses of more than $750,000. In addition to his 5-year jail sentence, Pressley will spend three years on supervised release and has been ordered to pay restitution and lose any proceeds from his illicit acts.

The US Marshal is currently holding Pressley, according to arrest records. He was initially scheduled for September 2024.
