A driver might be pulled over for a traffic stop for a variety of reasons. One of the most popular is going over the speed limit. This happened to a driver in Indiana lately, but the unusual part is that the man was speeding many times in just two hours. He also led police officers on a high-speed chase to avoid arrest, for which he is now facing a criminal charge.

Running from a traffic stop is always a bad idea

According to Fox 59, police in Muncie, Indiana, recently pulled a man for speeding and driving with a suspended license. It appears that the man simply received a traffic penalty rather than having his Audi A4 impounded. One would think that this would have taught the driver a lesson, but it did not.

Less than two hours later, another officer observed the same driver, Reginal Russell II (19), speeding again. This time, they caught him driving 65 mph in a 30 mph zone. Things got worse when, rather than complying with the traffic stop, the man turned off his headlights and drove away. Notably, this occurred close to midnight on April 10th.

The officer kept attempting to make the traffic stop. However, the 19-year-old driver unknowingly drove down a dead-end road, resulting in his arrest. Finally, he exited the truck with his hands in the air, complying with the cops. He is now facing accusations for resisting law enforcement with a car, dangerous driving, and driving with a suspended license. It was then determined that he had a history of speeding, having received six traffic fines in the last four years. He might possibly face a Level 6 felony for avoiding the officer.
