Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today, Wednesday, April 16th, that Cody Wayne McCollom, 37, of Princeton, has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of sexual assault on a child. McCollom, a violent repeat offender and confirmed member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas gang, systematically groomed, drugged, and raped a 14-year-old girl in multiple Collin County cities.

The court heard that McCollom, who had previously served time for many violent robberies, was paroled in the spring of 2022 and later reconnected with the then-14-year-old victim, supplying her with illegal substances. The sexual assaults began in January 2024 and took place in Anna, Princeton, McKinney, and Melissa.

In June 2024, the kid bravely reported the assault to her mother, who immediately alerted McKinney Police. The victim eventually gave a lengthy forensic interview at the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center.

Detectives Toni Wright and Jonathan Glidden of the McKinney Police Department, Tyler Bradford of the Princeton Police Department, and Alexis Diaz of the Anna Police Department collaborated across jurisdictions to investigate McCollom and gather evidence for prosecution.

During the punishment phase of the trial, jurors learned that McCollom joined the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas while in prison and remained an active member following his release. McCollom risked a sentence ranging from 25 to life in prison due to his prior felony convictions. The jury ultimately condemned him to 60 years in prison, with no chance of release.

District Attorney Greg Willis stated, “McCollom groomed and drugged a vulnerable 14-year-old, then raped her again and again across our county. Thanks to the victim’s courage and the outstanding police collaboration across multiple cities, this violent gang member has finally been held accountable. He will never hurt another child again.”

Judge Tom Nowak presided over the trial, which was prosecuted by Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Abbie Adkins and Charles Brazell, with assistance from DA Investigator Kim Voigt-Eanes, Victim Assistance Coordinator Melissa White, and Legal Secretary Christy Ware.
