Over 110 illegal immigrants were recently apprehended in Colony Ridge, Texas, as reported by Governor Greg Abbott’s office. The operation was deemed successful in addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard are continuously working together to secure the border and fight against transnational criminal activity. This includes the ongoing operation called Operation Lone Star.
According to a press release, this multi-agency initiative has been successful in apprehending over 531,500 illegal immigrants and making more than 51,000 criminal arrests. These arrests have resulted in over 43,700 felony charges.
Texas law enforcement officials have confiscated more than 625 million lethal doses of fentanyl, which is enough to potentially eliminate the entire populations of the United States, Mexico, and Canada combined. This action is part of an operation that seeks to address the negative consequences resulting from the border policies implemented by the Biden Administration.
