Four people were found shot to death inside an apartment in south St. Louis’ Carondelet area on Sunday morning.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Schirmer Street at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in response to a fire alarm reporting a suspicious death. They discovered two males and two women dead from gunshot wounds in the lower level of a two-story residence.
According to police, the victims ranged in age from 30 to 50.
Officers reportedly found several firearms and narcotics at the scene, along with numerous expended shell casings. Police suspect one of the victims might have resided there.
The Homicide Division took over the continuing investigation.
The Homicide Division invited anyone with information to contact them at 314-444-5371. To remain anonymous while potentially receiving a monetary reward, call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
The incident is the second time in less than two weeks that St. Louis police have discovered multiple bodies inside a residence.
“Usually when you’re mixing narcotics with firearms, sometimes these outcomes happen,” Chief Tracy said. “That was also an inside-outside scene as well. This is inside all night long, and then coming from the morning onto now, I have no idea what the activity was they were doing before that.”
