You did not misread the title of this post. A 16-year-old girl has been reported missing after visiting Disneyland in California. Apparently, it happened after a disagreement with her family, and they are now aggressively looking for her. My thoughts go out to them.
No, she didn’t simply dissolve into the early mist, but she did disappear. Her name is Annie Kathleen, and she is sixteen years old. She was visiting Disneyland in California with her family when she decided to leave on her own.
Witnesses said that after an alleged disagreement with her family, she left the park alone. Police last spotted her heading toward Ball Road, away from Disneyland Adventure Park. “She was last seen walking by herself on the sidewalk toward Ball Rd. around 4:45 pm last Sunday,” according to police.
I find myself puzzled and slightly worried about the potential outcome of this argument. As a child, I would not have expected to be strolling the streets of California. My parents had just told me I was adopted, which was unexpected. There is no reason to stroll around alone in such a crowded area.
The Search
Annie is characterized as a 5’5″, 130-pound girl. She has brown hair and eyes. If you or someone you know has information regarding her whereabouts, please call the Anaheim Police Department.
“There are concerns for her well-being, and her family is extremely worried,” police said. “If you see Annie or have any information about her whereabouts, please contact Anaheim Police Department at 714-765-1900.”
During the search, cops expressed ‘concerns about her well-being.’ That is an understatement. We just hope she’s letting off anger and doesn’t put herself in harm’s way.
Authorities have also confirmed that she is from Calipatria, California. Not only is she relatively young, but she also has little knowledge of the place she is exploring. That sounds like the recipe for disaster to me!
However, my heartfelt thoughts are with the family. I hope she returns safely to them soon.
